The warehouse is the central point for all our donations including those from house clearances. This is where all goods are stored, sorted, cleaned and distributed. It’s a busy warehouse environment which is next to the Martlets furniture showroom.

Where: Martlets Warehouse, Unit 5, Sussex House Business Park, 270 Old Shoreham Road, Hove, BN3 7DX

When: The Warehouse is open Monday – Saturday 9am -5pm and Sundays 10.30am-3.30pm (shifts to be agreed)

Usual minimum commitment: A weekly 4-hour shift (negotiable)

What you’ll be doing: To assist team leaders in the warehouse in moving furniture, unloading vans, clearing rubbish, preparing furniture for sale, sweeping the yard and warehouse, stacking bags of clothes, re-stocking furniture in the showroom.

Your skills and abilities:

  • Warehouse experience an advantage
  • Be fit and able to lift furniture and bags of donated goods
  • Be flexible, adaptable and willing to work on your own or as part of a team.
  • Reliable and a good time keeper


  • You will need to attend a Welcome day and complete relevant Martlets training e.g. health and safety
  • Adherence to health and safety guidelines
  • Willing to take instructions and be happy to help
