The aim of this half day course is to provide registered nurses from all care settings with an introduction to the assessment of some of the common symptoms ex-perienced by people at the end of life. Scenarios will be used to link the theory taught to the reality of everyday clinical practice.

Areas covered include:

  • Pain
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Respiratory secretions
  • Terminal agitation
  • Drugs prescribed to manage com-mon symptoms
