Nursing Auxiliary - In Patient Unit Salary: £16,190 - £18,347 p.a. (pro rata) plus allowances depending upon your skills and experience Hours: 22.5 - 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 26 October 2017 We are looking to recruit Nursing Auxiliaries to join our ward in assisting our staff nurses in providing exceptional nursing care. Some night rotation will be required. Applicants should have relevant health care experience and be competent in caring for others. Ideally, you will have a NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and be willing to work towards Level 3, or equivalent. The right applicants be organised with good listening, communication and observation skills. In addition, you will need to be confident with using computers. Main duties will include: To assist in the delivery of high quality nursing care of patients, maintaining their privacy and dignity at all times including bathing, toileting, care of hair/nails, skin and pressure areas, mouth care and assisting with feeding and meeting nutritional needs etc. To work as a member of the nursing and multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the qualified nursing staff reporting changes as appropriate. To communicate clearly and effectively, using listening skills and recognising own limitations where referral to colleague is appropriate.
