Mayor opens Martlets Blatchington Road after ‘Flagship Store’ Refurbishment

The Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Dee Simson has officially opened the newly refurbished Martlets Blatchington Road shop.  Blatchington Road has undergone a full refit making it the new ‘Flagship’ store for Martlets shops in the area.

The vision for the refurbishment was to retain the personality and warmth of a charity shop while improving the layout and whole experience for customers making it a destination store in the area.

The newly refurbished store is smarter and brighter with new Martlets signage.  It will be the first local charity shop to have a dedicated counter for donations and the till has also been moved to improve the flow of the store.  The store is already known for its good-quality furniture, books, music, toys and clothing and each of these areas will be clearly arranged to make it easier for customers to find items.

Rob Parker, Area Sales Manager for Martlets commented:

“We are grateful to the Mayor for officially re-opening our Blatchington Road store. We really hope customers old and new will love the changes we have made and are excited to welcome them through our doors.

Our aim is to become the first choice for charity shops in the area for customers and donations alike, helping us raise valuable funds to provide care for local people living with terminal illness and their families.”
