Martlets celebrates spooktacular Halloween Ball

We are celebrating the success of our Spooktacular Halloween Ball, hosted on Saturday 27th October at the Grand Hotel, Brighton

The event was sponsored by The Salt Room and The Coal Shed and is one of the key fundraising events in the Martlets calendar. Guests were treated to a three-course dinner and a performance from 29 Fingers.

Martlets’ Ambassador Norman Cook, AKA Superstar DJ Fatboy Slim, took to the decks for a surprise set and raised £420 by selling selfies to fans!

Our spooktacularly glamorous annual fundraiser raised an astounding £61,500 which will be used to support our life-changing work.

This year guests were extravagantly dressed in incredible costumes with Maleficent, a werewolf, Frankenstein’s monster and witches all enjoying the Halloween fun and dancing until the small hours.  The best dressed table award went to Wholesome Foods who won a box of wines from The Salt Room and The Coal Shed.

 Organiser Emma Knight said:

“We’re hugely grateful to The Salt Room and The Coal Shed for, once again, sponsoring our ball. We’re also very grateful to RT Williams for their generous support this year. Our Master of Ceremonies, Steve Bustin, was as brilliant as ever and our favourite spooky band, 29Fingers, had everyone on the dance floor once again! Of course, Fatboy Slim really made the night one we’ll never forget.

Thank you to everyone who made the night such a tremendous success.”

The Halloween Ball also gave guests a chance to bid on a very special Junior Snail, designed by Snailspace artist Emma McGowan
