On Saturday 11th November Martlets Care attended the Great South East Care Awards 2017 hosted at The Hilton Hotel, Brighton and scooped the award for Best Care Employer.
Despite competition from 400 nominees for the 21 award categories, Martlets Care were recognised for their brilliant employment practices. Shelley Guay, Registered Manager of Martlets Care, was also nominated for the ‘Best Frontline Leader’ and made the final four shortlist – narrowly missing out on the award.
Imelda Glackin, CEO at Martlets Hospice said, “I am absolutely delighted that Martlets Care have won the award for Best Care Employer, this is a great acknowledgment of the fantastic team we have in Martlets Care. This award is for the whole of Martlets Care team, highlighting everyone including all of the carers who deliver the amazing care in our community every day.
Martlets Care will now go through to the National Final Care Awards at Birmingham’s ICC in Spring 2018.
Martlets Care is Martlets Hospice’s social enterprise home care agency, meaning they contribute all profits to Martlets Hospice and help to fund the charity.
