Martlets is a charity that cares for people living through a terminal illness in and around Brighton & Hove Martlets plays a vital role in helping people diagnosed with a terminal illness to live life as fully as they can. Through expert clinical care, provided by highly skilled and experienced doctors and nurses, we ensure that, wherever possible, peace, respect and dignity is maintained. We care for people across our local community, yet the hospice is not part of the NHS. We have to raise over £5 million a year to ensure the continuation of hospice services. Less than a third of this funding was received from local Clinical Commissioning Groups. Our website provides information for you and your loved ones about our services and how you can get involved. There are many ways to support us - from experiencing one of our events, playing our weekly lottery to the huge range of volunteering opportunities within Martlets. However you support Martlets you'll be making a difference. We have 10 shops across Brighton & Hove which generate vital income in addition to our fundraising events. Also in 2007, we launched Martlets Care which is a commercial care company set up to provide income for the hospice.
