IPU Ward Manager Salary: £37,674 to £41,301 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: 37.5 hours per week – variable shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 12th July 2017 Interview Date: 19th July 2017 We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced nurse, highly motivated with exceptional clinical leadership skills and managerial experience. Main duties will include: Responsible for leading and managing a team of In-Patient staff to deliver a high standard of specialist palliative care. To lead development, delivery and evaluation of a high standard of nursing care on the IPU. Establish a motivated, supportive and cohesive workforce through actively promoting a professional, respectful and inclusive working environment. Lead change in clinical practice through development and implementation of care initiatives. Key skills required: Extensive experience of working in a clinical area at Band 6 or above, showing evidence of transferable skills. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and lead a clinical team. Experience of successfully managing teams with sickness absence, capability and disciplinary issues.
