Salary: £15,695.45 To £15,853.79 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly across a seven-day week, plus allowances.

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for people who are hard-working and trustworthy with a commitment to delivering excellent standards of cleanliness.

Main duties will include:

  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment within the clinical and treatment areas of the hospice, ensuring the agreed quality standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met in line with local policy.
  • Cleaning of offices and common areas as directed.
  • Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors.
  • Cleaning windows, sills, work surfaces, kitchenettes, café, meetings rooms, smoking room and the emptying of cigarette dispensers.
  • Cleaning staff toilets, shower rooms and staff dining area.
  • Emptying wastepaper and general waste bins.
  • Potentially may be required to assist with the removal of bodily fluids.
  • Dusting all areas including stairs, handrails, shelving, etc
  • Deep cleaning of carpeted areas using floor care machines.
  • Steam cleaning of furnishings, such as chairs.
