This one day course will equip registered nurses who work in the community to practice verification of death in their clinical setting (subject to employer’s policy).

Areas covered include:

  • Communication
  • Registered nurse’s role
  • Introduction to the verification of expected death policy
  • Coroner’s perspective
  • Record keeping and documentation
  • Legal and ethical issues
  • Support for relatives and bereavement

This course is fully funded by HEEKSS (Health Education England, Kent Surrey and Sussex).
