Donate to our shops

The next time you are having a clear out or re-vamping your home please think of us. We'd really appreciate it if you dropped off your donations to one of our shops.

We love:

  • Good quality women's clothing
  • Good quality men's clothing
  • Good quality children's clothing
  • Good quality accessories
  • Good quality furniture
  • Good quality kitchenware, crockery, glassware, vases, lamps etc.

You can also donate your old mobile phones, stamps, medals, and coins to us for recycling, as well as broken jewellery and any gold or silver items.

If you're not sure whether we can sell your donations, please take a look at the list of items we cannot sell below.

Resell, recycle, upcycle

Your donated items can be resold in our charity shops, upcycled (painted or reupholstered for example) and then sold in our shops, or recycled.

We are only able to accept donated items which are in a clean and re-saleable condition. We do not wish to cause disappointment or difficulties for you should we be unable to accept your donation so please read the below.

If you have a collection booked our experienced team will assess your item(s) at the time of collection. We recommend you avoid making any related arrangements (e.g. for delivery of replacement items) before your collection has taken place.

If you have any questions regarding items we can’t accept please call our Trading Team on: 01273 721188

How to donate your items

You can drop off donations at any of our shops but only during shop opening hours – please do not leave them in the shop doorways.

We do offer a free collection service for donations of furniture - and if you have any home accessories, bags of clothing or small electrical items we can collect these items too.

If you have furniture or larger items you’d like to donate, we’re happy to collect free of charge. Simply complete the form below.

Gift Aid on donated goods

Gift Aid is a scheme enabling Martlets to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer. This means that, if you pay UK tax and agree to Martlets claiming Gift Aid on your donation, the Government will give us 25p on top of every £1 you give to us and it does not cost you a penny.

Electrical items

We accept most working electrical items. Once items have been donated they are tested before being sold in our shops.

Please call us to check that we can accept your electrical goods.
