This workshop is suitable for all staff who work within health and social care settings who are required to support patients/service users and families.

We will cover different strategies and methods to enhance communication and listening skills. By the end the workshop you will:

  • Be familiar with the communication principles used in supportive conversations
  • Be able to discuss how ways of communicating impacts on the person
  • Understand methods for effective communication with distressed patients /service users/ family members
