The warehouse is the central point for all our donations including those from house clearances. This is where all goods are stored, sorted, cleaned and distributed. It’s a busy warehouse environment next to the Martlets furniture showroom. Clothes sorters are among a number of volunteer roles helping to get donations ready for resale.

Where: Martlets Warehouse, Unit 5 Sussex House Business Park, 270 Old Shoreham Road, Hove BN3 7DX

When: Shifts are between 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday or 10.30am-3.30pm Sunday

Usual minimum commitment: Weekly 4-hour shift

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lifting and emptying bags of donations
  • Sorting clothes/shoes/bags on their suitability for the different shops
  • Identifying donations that are of higher value and suitable for Martlets E-commerce
