Salary: £30,400 - £40,696 per annum (dependant on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (may on occasion include out of hours work). Job share and part time applications are welcomed

An exciting opportunity for an excellent clinical educator to support us improve end of life care practice, working with those reaching the end of their lives, in health, residential, domiciliary care and palliative care settings, in line with the Department of Health's national end of life care strategy.

The training your will provide will cover various aspects of end of life care including communication, managing discomfort and supporting individuals with loss, managing end of life services for leaders of services in order to ensure best practice in end of life care across services. Our Clinical Strategy is being developed and our commitment to education is expanding and widening its reach.   

We are looking for innovative and forward -thinking educators who are passionate about working in the community of Brighton and Hove.  This is a great opportunity to work for a not for profit organisation with over 20 years in the healthcare sector and be able to develop exceptional training provision for our staff, others in our community and in collaboration with our partners.

Role Requirements

  • Current PGCert (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Degree or equivalent in Palliative/End of Life care or related subjects
  • Experience of delivering clinical training
  • Advanced Communications Skills course (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Ability to work strategically and operationally
  • Knowledge and experience to design, deliver and evaluate training
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to present and communicate with a range of audiences
  • Ability to build strong working partnerships and proactive to build relationships
  • Advanced communications skills, developed influencing and negotiation skills
