Carers Support Lead Salary: £33,149 to £38,378 per annum (pro rata, dependent on experience) Hours: 22.5 hours per week Contract: 1 year fixed-term contract Closing Date: 22 January 2019 Interview Date: w/c 4 February 2019 Are you passionate about supporting carers? We provide care and support to patients and their families living through a terminal illness and are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to develop our support and services for carers. Main duties will include: scoping of needs and planning, implementing and evaluating service developments building and strengthening relationships with external organisations and groups providing support and services to carers carrying out assessments and delivering direct support to carers providing information and training around carers needs, carers assessments and carers services to staff and volunteers setting out a carers strategy, identifying future goals and the required resources to enable the continued improvement of services for carers Key skills and experience required: Understanding and experience of working with carers Knowledge and experience of using outcome measures in clinical practice Experience of developing new services and of evaluating and implementing service improvements Excellent communication skills Able to work independently and deliver objectives within a given timeframe Ability to inspire and motivate others and to build and maintain collaborative professional relationships Proficient in the use of a range of IT applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Benefits: Company pension with matched contributions, cashback health scheme, generous annual leave, subsidised restaurant, professional development opportunities.
