Salary: £18,000 to £22,000 per annum (pro rata, dependent on experience)

Do you have online sales experience and are looking for an opportunity to develop your skills further whilst supporting a charitable organisation? We are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to support our Online Trading Department

Main duties will include:

  • To assist, and at times deputise for, the Online Trading manager
  • To assist the Online Retail Manager in achieving sales targets as agreed with the Head of Trading whilst keeping costs and expenditure within agreed budget
  • To assist in management of stock and inventory levels in the online warehouse and ensure stock is updated and refreshed regularly
  • To deal with customer enquiries both online and on the phone in a prompt and friendly manner to encourage sales and positive ratings
  • To package and dispatch goods in a prompt way so as to ensure high levels of positive ratings for the Martlets online shops
  • Assist in ensuring staff and volunteers are supported, encouraged and well-motivated to ensure the department performs well and is representative of Martlets values
  • To operate within agreed financial, cash handling and security procedures
  • To ensure the teams working area is a safe environment for all staff, volunteers and the public and to comply with all identified Health and Safety, Trading Standards and Distance Selling regulations.

Key Skills required:

  • Experience of working within an online store
  • A minimum 1 year’s online retail sales experience
  • Working knowledge of stock control management
  • Strong IT skills
  • Proven experience of providing outstanding levels of customer care
  • Proven high levels of written English with experience of writing for online audiences
  • To be numerate and competent in dealing with figures and administration
