At the end of last year we installed 200 solar panels on the hospice roof. And, even though it might not feel like it we have seen enough sunshine this summer, we were surprised to find that our new solar panels have been able to produce 23 megawatt hours of electricity.
To put this into context an average house uses 16 megawatt hours in a year. Of course this is a huge achievement for Martlets, we’ve saved £3,500 in energy bills this year alone!
We’ve also been able to reduce our impact on the environment as we’ve saved 9 tonnes in Co2 emissions.
