Hove Carnival at Hove Park is back – taking place on Spring Bank Holiday Monday 27th May 2019 from 11.30am to 5pm – it will be bigger and better than ever with double the amount of stall holders and a huge variety of arena events and amusements.

Hove Carnival is free to attend and is always a popular family event, attracting over 3,000 visitors last year.  The event helps to raise important funds for Martlets to care for people living with terminal illness and their families at the Hove hospice and in the local community.

Hove Carnival this year will have over 70 stalls to browse including crafts, handmade jewellery, clothing, shiatsu and massage, beauty products, plants and traditional side stalls and games.  For animal lovers, FLOOF will be there with their rescue dogs, owl displays and more, while for the brave, local company ‘Reptylers’ are visiting with creepy crawlies and their 14ft python!

In the main arena, events are taking place all day starting at 11.50am with the flying acrobatics of the Black Eagles until they come to a close with theatre performances from the talented students of the Theatre Workshop at 4.15pm.  Exciting shows during the day also include the popular K9 dog display teams, belly dancing troupes and the entertaining Bob Hogg Sheepdog Display where children will be invited into the arena to join the fun herding ducks round an obstacle course!

Adding to the family fun and keeping the children amused, there will be funfair rides, huge inflatables, games and stalls providing face painting and body glitter.   For those who have missed Martlets much-loved Snails, there will also be a last chance take one home as the Hove Carnival raffle this year offers an exclusive opportunity to win a Geronimo Junior Snail.

Charlotte Bolton from Martlets Fundraising team commented: “We are so excited about this year’s Hove Park Carnival with so many brilliant stall holders and a packed day of entertainments and amusements for young and old.  There really is something for everyone this year!

“We hope that people will put the date in their diaries and come and enjoy a fantastic community event that raises such important funds for Martlets to provide the very best care and support for local people.”
