Step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and focus on the tranquillity of a new morning as you remember loved ones at sunrise.

Open to all, our beautiful Pebble Memory Walk will be led by our Chaplain Nicholas Roddis.

You will begin by choosing a pebble to symbolise your loved one and you may write their name on it if you wish. We will have a few moments of reflection and then you will carry your pebble with you as you walk along the promenade to Brighton Palace PierIt’s an opportunity to quietly stroll, breathe some sea air and remember happy times.

On our return to Hove seafront we will all create a shared heart-shaped tribute on the seashore from everyone’s pebbles; which will finally be returned to the sea as the tide comes in.

Everyone taking part will receive a small, white, porcelain pebble as a keepsake and you can join us for a tea or coffee at the Big Beach Café after the walk. We will also have a special memory area in our Sanctuary to display the name of your loved one throughout July; if you wish.

If you are unable to make it on the day but would still like us to add a pebble to our beach tribute to remember your loved one then please let us know.
