Nursing Home to Accommodate Hospice Patients For Twelve Weeks

The Martlets Hospice is about to embark on a major refurbishment of its In-Patient Facilities, thanks to a specific grant from the Department of Health and with the generous support of the Directors of the newly opened Harmony House Nursing Home, located a short distance from the Hospice on the Old Shoreham Road.  

 

Great South Run Triumph

Amy & Kevin Taylor raced over the finishing line for the Martlets at the 2009 Great South Run in Portsmouth -

Amy told us about their day in Portsmouth "It was a great day with lots of support around the course. We went over the finishing (line waving like loonies at the crowds and camera) hand in hand. This is my third long distance run and my Dad's first! We finished in 1hr 39 minutes and 53 seconds and were really pleased with our time. We chose to run for the Martlets as it is a local charity that we know does great work and also a charity we have supported before"

So far Amy and her Dad have raised over £350 for the hospice, you can still sponsor them by visiting their Just-Giving site
