Working at the Martlets
At the Martlets we consider our staff our greatest asset and are fortunate to have a dedicated group of high-calibre staff. Our staff representative group is testament to the fact that staff development and welfare are high on our agenda, as is employee engagement.
Our culture is professional, yet informal and new staff comment on how welcome they are made to feel and how supportive their colleagues are. We have a variety of roles within the organisation, from nursing staff to sales assistants, and fundraisers to housekeepers. Yet no matter what role our staff fulfil, they are all highly valued, and make a unique contribution to the success of the Hospice.
We offer a competitive benefits package and a great environment to work in, so if you feel you’d like to join our team of dedicated staff please feel free to apply for any of the vacancies listed or email your CV to recruitment@themartletshospice.co.uk
Volunteering
Another great way to work with us is by volunteering. Our volunteers account for the majority of our workforce and we simply wouldn’t be able to provide our services without them.
You can volunteer with the Martlets in a number of ways including helping in the hospice alongside staff and patients, or providing valuable assistance in our furniture warehouse, our fundraising departments, our six charity shops, or with our eBay and online book sales.
However you choose to volunteer with us, you will learn great new skills, make new friends and gain real personal satisfaction; many of our volunteers have even found that working with us has helped them back to work.
Whether you’re a student, retired or you simply have extra time to give to a great cause, we need your help and would love to hear from you. There are both flexible and regular volunteering opportunities available, so to find out more about volunteering at the Martlets please take a look at our Volunteering page. You can also contact our Voluntary Services Team on 01273 273400 or email volunteering@themartletshospice.co.uk.
