This summer we're asking you to look for that special outfit, the one you loved, wore once and have never worn again. These are the kind of special donations we're looking for. We're also looking for gold jewellery, ever if it's broken we can still use it.
Did you know our shops stock new goods ? This summer we've got stylish handbags and beautiful costume jewellery in all the Martlets shops. You'll also discover some vintage clothing delights in our Church Street shop in Brighton.
All About Martlets Shops
The Martlets shops offer something different to their many customers, you'll still find some fantastic bargains, but what you won't find is junk.
These shops only offer quality stock and each shop has it's very own specialism.
The Martlets boutique shop in the High Street, Lewes sells high quality seasonal wear. You’ll recognise many High Street and designer brand names among the items on sale.
Our small Saltdean shop in Longridge Avenue is a real community shop with good quality bedding and home-ware, not to mention the rainbow of new wool you'll find in both double knitting and baby double knitting.
The original Martlets shop in Church Street, Brighton is ideal if you're looking for high quality glassware, china, small items of furniture or books from a bygone era. We now stock vintage clothing and jewellery.
Furniture Showrooms
The Furniture Showroom on the Old Shoreham Road in Hove is packed with all kinds of furniture from three piece suites to dinning room furniture and electrical goods including fridge freezers, washing machines, you name it, it's probably in stock! Delivery is also available if you need it.
Our large Peacehaven shop on the South Coast Road sells a great range of furniture, linens, DVDs, Videos, TVs, childrens’ toys and other great value items. From April 1st we'll also be stocking clothes in Peacehaven.
We now have a small shop in the Hospice itself which sells a lovely range of high quality cards and gifts. Just pop in it's located next to the Main Reception.
In some shops, you will also find gift cards, a range of jams and chutneys and lots of jewellery.
We need donations of stock all year round!
The Martlets shops need your stock donations, so next time you decide to empty your wardrobes, replace your furniture, clear your shelves, please make sure you drop off your donations to one of our shops.
If it's a piece of furniture, an electrical appliance or something that is too large to transport yourself please get in touch as the Martlets team can pick up your donations. Call the Hove Furniture Warehouse on 01273 721188 or if you live nearer Peacehaven, contact the Peacehaven Furniture Warehouse on 01273 588808 for donation pick ups.
Gift Aid on Donated Goods
We can now claim Gift Aid on your stock donations, if you are a tax payer make sure fill in a Gift Aid form when you make your donation. Alternatively you can print off the form and bring it with you when you drop off your items.
Martlets Ebay Shop
The Ebay shop is the place for the unusual and unique from antique teaspoons to unopened Meccano sets, having an Ebay shop reaches a whole new audience. Last year the Ebay shop generated over £20,000 - click here to see what the Martlets are currently selling.
Don't forget the Martlets when you're selling on Ebay, its easy to donate a % of your final sales figure to the Martlets.
Recycling with the Martlets
You can do your bit to fight climate change and raise money for the hospice by donating your old mobile phone, used stamps, foreign coins and ink cartridges; drop them into one of our shops or to the furniture warehouse.
Retail Volunteers
Martlets Shops and Trading Company generates over £1 million - this makes up around 20% of the Martlets annual income.
