Whatever the size of your company, you could really make a positive difference to the Martlets, its patients and their families.

Since 1997, staff and volunteers at the Martlets have cared for and supported over 20,000 local people.

To continue to provide this essential service to the local community we need the ongoing support of the business community.

There are many ways businesses can help our patients, including:

  • Nominate the Martlets as your company’s Charity of the Year.
  • Organise a simple fundraising event with your colleagues. Every pound raised makes a real difference!
  • Join the growing list of businesses that are becoming our event partners by taking part in, or helping at one our events
  • Donate gifts in kind, or expertise – your staff will get a real buzz from helping out.
  • Ask employees to bring one or more unwanted items in to work, which we can sell through our charity shops. We can even arrange to collect items from you.
  • Allow our Lottery Canvassers to come and meet your employees. For just £1 per week, they can win £1000 in our weekly Lottery draw!
  • Join our Champions scheme – log onto www.martletschampions.co.uk for more details.
  • Take on a challenge! Do a tandem skydive, run in the London or Brighton Marathon – and get your company to match any sponsorship you raise.
  • Organise company team to take part in our Martlets Midnight Walk for women, our Pie and Pint walk for men, or our Midnight Bike Ride from London to Brighton.
  • If your business belongs to a local trade body or professional association, then ask them to adopt the Martlets as a beneficiary of any fundraising that might be undertaken at any of their events.

Support from the business sector is vital to our ongoing service provision and we welcome any ideas and initiatives you may have. In return we will do all we can to promote your support in our publications, on our website, at events and to visitors to the Hospice.
