  • Increase our sphere of influence within Brighton & Hove in order for us to become the primary authority in End-of-Life- care in the city
  • Make best use of our staff skills and extend the use of volunteers

Q. What must we do to secure the financial future of the hospice?

We will maximise the potential of existing income streams, and find extra income to make up for the slowdown in legacy income.

  • Ensure cost efficiencies in all departments within the Martlets’ group of companies
  • Achieve £400,000 extra income in order to offset anticipated reduction in legacy income
  • Grow the Business Consultancy to ensure it is the first choice Consultancy for Hospices seeking assistance in setting up Social Enterprises

We will improve our efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop structures and processes to meet our future requirements
  • Ensure that performance management systems support the delivery of our company goals and employee development
  • Improve management information systems and procedures

Q. What must we do to keep the organisation flexible and responsive to ensure we meet the needs of our customers?

We will :-

  • Engage with our partners and stakeholders to ensure improved community services
  • Become the training provider of choice for End of Life care in Brighton & Hove to improve the quality of services across the city
  • We will continue with our Employee Engagement Agenda and staff development programmes.
