The Hospice offers expert and compassionate care. Our aim is to enhance the quality of life and ease the distress of patients suffering from cancer and other serious conditions and for whom curative treatment is no longer appropriate.

Many people don't like to think about illness and dying, but ignoring it will not make it go away. Reading this will help you understand what we do and help you to see that it is not so frightening.

Q. What does the Hospice do?
A. The Martlets looks after adults with life limiting illnesses for whom curative treatment is no longer appropriate. This care is aimed at alleviating the distressing symptons associated with serious illness as well as providing emotional support for the families and carers through the illness and into bereavement.

Sussex Cancer Network
The sussex cancer network (scn) serves a population of just over 1 million people and covers the area from Rye in East Sussex to Worthing in West Sussex and northwards to East Grinstead.

Governance

The charity Trustees are the people who together are responsible for controlling the management and administration of the charity. The Trustees make decisions and work together through meetings of the Board of Trustees.
